The Big Idea

The big idea of space is that it is a huge empty space containing:

• galaxies;

  • solar systems;

  • stars (our Sun is a star);

  • planets;

    • moons and

  • other small objects orbiting the stars, such as asteroids, comets and planetoids (very small planets).
